Dogs Trust
< Back to the news
Our children had a fantastic day with the Dogs Trust charity, learning all about the wider implications of owning a dog. During the Year 6 workshop, they looked at the profiles of various dogs and their needs, including monthly vet fees for medication and food for those on a special diet. Their maths skills were put the the test as they worked out how much it costs to look after a dog for a year. Many children were very surprised by this figure, and realised why lots of their parents tell them no when they ask for a dog as a pet. The whole school assembly was interactive, teaching children the safest way to interact with dogs and how they should be looked after.
